Diana McDonald is married and has two children.  She is a lecturer, mediator, consultant, social scientist, teacher and a trained tailor. She has a master’s degree in educational science from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena (Germany) with minors in economics and intercultural business communication. Her professional and personal focus has been on the examination of communication and especially the development of solutions to the conflicts that can arise from acts of communication. In her teaching activities, she has always sought a viable combination of theory and practice, especially in intercultural contexts and, even more specifically, as it relates to encouraging the professionalizing and publicizing of the growing field of mediation.
