Transversal skills training

The nature of researchers’ work in the 21st century is changing rapidly! In academia and the corporate sector, researchers need to be confident, capable communicators; experts in research management, aware of the diversity of intercultural research groups and disciplines, manage stressful steps in their research, but remain open and innovative at the same time. At TranSkills, we are committed to providing education to early stage and experienced researchers, which reflects these needs. Building on the Eduworks-Network, we deliver high quality workshops for groups of researchers active in diverse and interdisciplinary environments.

What we offer

We organize training events tailored to your needs!

Training activities

Our training is tailored to the needs of early stage and experienced researchers alike. This creates many of the qualities that are desired in both academia and private sector. We achieve this by utilizing the skills and knowledge of our first class trainers.

Event locations

Our events take place in the Spanish seaside of Alicante, Amsterdam, the Dutch capital, Sopron, a medieval Hungarian city on the Austrian border and in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.

Team-building activities

We believe that the high impact learning environment created by these team building exercises leads to innovation and an improvement on productivity, which are essential for early stage and experienced researchers and their supervisors.

Additional services

Through our partners, we offer a wide range of video and photography services, such as presentation recording, promotional video making, profile picture photoshoot and more.

See what previous participants said about us

I was overwhelmed by the two facets of the event. On one hand, it gave me one of the busiest weeks with productive ends. On the other hand, it gave me the most enjoyable weeks with experience, networking and a lot of fun. I would like to appreciate the team who worked on the realization of this event – from proposal writing to topic selection, from trainer selection to event selection – to our overwhelming satisfaction and astonishment. I can imagine how many sleepless nights they have spent to bring this kind of event into life Sisay Agunda Chala - University of Siegen
The experience at the Summer School in Sopron (Hungary) was fabulous. The training sessions couldn’t be better. The hotel was a great choice for the first meeting between fellows and supervisors. In addition, the hotel wasn't crowded so that provided a relaxed and nice environment. Being everyone in the same place allowed fellows to enjoy free time & build relationships after the meetings and training sessions. Overall it was an intense but very productive week.Soledad Castenallo - Trinity College of Dublin
The way the summer school was organized was superb. The venue, the line up of social activities, and the choice of topic coverage in the presentations were carefully planned and selected. Moreover, the team in-charge with covering the whole event was to say the least very professional and the best in what they do. I have never imagined that training could be both fun and informative! Over-all I give my highest adulation to the format of this summer school and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in organizing one.Vladimer Kobayashi - University of Amsterdam
